Some of our meetings included demonstrations of how to get paint off of hardware such as hinges and drawer pulls by using water and how to hang cloth as wall paper using starch. Everyone was impressed that this simple and non-toxic methods work so well.
Our first work party was Saturday, Feb 21st. The purpose was to help a deserving family preserve their old house. We will meet again to provide any assistance we can to stave off "wreck and ruin" from another old La Porte house. Come join in May the fun, the companionship, and the food.
PEP now owns two properties (1008 Michigan and 516 Lincolnway) that it is trying to protect and preserve. Watch for more information as it becomes available.
